Taru & Tula
A block-printed table setting, styled outdoors at golden hour

small batch · block printed · handcrafted in India

Rooted in nature,
crafted with care.

Slow-made, conscious products for a life lived with intention.

our story

Quiet objects for a considered life

We've always believed the things we live with should be made slowly, with care — that belief is where Taru & Tula comes from. Taru, rootedness. Tula, balance. Two ideas we chased long before we thought to build a brand around them.

Our debut collection is a small batch of quilted bags, pouches, and home linen, block-printed by hand in Jaipur and finished slowly. Nothing here is mass-made — each piece carries its own small variations, the kind that come from a human hand and a carved block, not a machine.

the collection

Small batches. Quietly made.

An artisan hand block-printing cotton in Jaipur

the craft

A block, a hand,
a quiet craft.

Rooted in Rajasthan's Sanganeri and Bagru tradition, each piece begins with natural cotton laid flat on a long printing table. Then, one impression at a time, hand-carved wood blocks meet dye drawn from earth, indigo, madder root, and more — colours as natural as the cloth itself. What's left is fabric with breath and character, carrying the quiet irregularities only a hand can give.

Store policies

Terms of sale+

Every piece is hand block-printed and hand-finished in small batches, so slight variation in colour, print placement, and stitching between photos and the item you receive is normal and not a defect. Items marked “one of a kind” are sold as single, non-restockable pieces — once sold, that exact piece will not be remade.

All prices are listed in Philippine Pesos (₱) and are subject to change without notice, though the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.

We reserve the right to cancel an order (with a full refund) if a product turns out to be unavailable after purchase, or if we suspect fraud or abuse.

Shipping+

Orders are packed by hand and shipped within 3 business days of payment confirmation. Delivery timelines vary by courier and location and are estimates, not guarantees.

If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph it before opening and contact us at hello@taruandtula.com within 24 hours of delivery so we can help resolve it with the courier.

Returns & refunds+

Because each piece is made in small batches and many are one of a kind, we accept returns or exchanges only for items that arrive damaged, defective, or different from what was ordered. Contact us at hello@taruandtula.com within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the issue.

Approved returns are refunded to the original payment method, or exchanged for the same item where stock allows, within 10 business days of us receiving the returned item. Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging.

We don't accept returns for change of mind, incorrect address entered at checkout, or the normal handmade variation described under “Terms of sale” above.
